Sophia Loeb is included in Between Us, the inaugural exhibition of the Olivia Foundation, Mexico City. Sophia Loeb’s Somos os ancestrais daqueles que virão (We are the ancestors of those that are yet to come), 2024, has been featured through an Artist Spotlight within the exhibition.
Established by Jana and Guillermo González, The Olivia Foundation’s collection focuses on women artists working within the broad scope of abstraction. With their collection spanning Helen Frankenthaler and Lee Krasner to their latest Artist Spotlight, a commission by Sophia Loeb, the exhibition creates an intergenerational dialogue between modern and contemporary artists. Across this temporal range, the exhibition highlights shared formal languages and the generative potential of meditation and expression through abstraction.
