Stefanie Heinze (b. 1987, Berlin) lives and works in Berlin. She studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Oslo (2012) and the Academy of Fine Arts, Leipzig (2014), and she also participated in the residency programme at Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Maine (2016). Recent solo exhibitions include Dimension of the Fool, Capitain Petzel, Berlin (2022); Stories of the Imaginary (self-portrait of two lemons), Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London (2021); Frail Juice, Petzel Gallery, New York (2020); and Ruler, LC Queisser, Tbilisi (2019). Heinze has participated in numerous group exhibitions including The Hepworth Wakefield, West Yorkshire (2022-23); Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (2022); Boros Foundation with Berghain, Berlin (2020); Deichtorhallen, Hamburg (2020); Sammlung Philara, Düsseldorf (2019); and Saatchi Gallery, London (2018). Collections include MAMCO Genève; Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden; Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Marguerite Hoffman Collection, Dallas; Pérez Art Museum, Miami; The Hepworth Wakefield, UK; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin; Elie Khouri Art Foundation, Dubai; and The Rachofsky Collection, Dallas. In 2023, Heinze will be included in the international biennial exhibition L’Almanach at Le Consortium Museum, Dijon.
